What we do

Credlab is a workspace for B2B credit teams: the online credit application, the trade references, the bank verification, the business credit report, the approval and the outcome letter, all on one file per customer. A Credlab credit analyst works alongside your team on every file, chasing the references and reviewing and signing every report before it reaches you.

We sell to the people who actually do the job: credit managers, credit analysts and the owners and controllers of companies that extend trade credit. Most of them are in the industries below.

How we got here

• 2001. Credit-management training for credit managers, owners and executives across North America.
• 2004. B2B Credit Chex Inc. and the freshly investigated business credit report.
• 2005. The online credit application tool and 24/7 credit management portal.
• 2024. Credlab launches: the portal rebuilt for how credit teams work now, with new features every month.

The business started with training, moved into investigated credit reports because database lookups weren't good enough for the people we'd trained, and then built the application tool and portal those same customers asked for. Credlab is that portal rebuilt from the ground up, with new features shipping every month.

How we think about AI

A Credlab credit analyst leads every file. They pull the records, chase the references, read the public record and write the report, and they use a set of tools to do it: registry searches, bank verification through Plaid, and AI to assemble the file, draft the write-up and score the risk. Everything the tools produce goes through the analyst, except the bank analysis, which is generated with AI from the Plaid data and labelled as such. The report carries the analyst's name, and your credit manager decides. The software never presses "approve."
