How it works

From application to decision, step by step.

Follow one credit application through Credlab, from the link you send your customer to the decision your team records. Our analyst leads. AI assists. Your credit manager decides.

  1. 1

    Your customer applies online

They fill in your own branded credit application from a link and sign it electronically. No PDF, no re-keying.

Each location gets its own form, with your fields, terms and branding. The person who starts the application is rarely the one who can sign it, so they can save part-way and hand it to the owner or controller to finish.

Every application is screened for fraud

Credlab screens every application for signs of fraud, and our analysts review anything that looks off before it reaches you.

The screening result sits in the file with the application, the signed document and everything that follows, so whoever picks up the file can see it.

  3. 3

They connect their bank through Plaid

Read-only, with their consent. Up to 24 months of transactions land in the file, with an AI-generated summary.

The applicant signs in on Plaid's screens, never on Credlab, and you decide per location whether connecting a bank is required. The file shows the account holder, balance, monthly deposits and withdrawals, and NSF and overdraft items. The bank analysis is generated with AI from the Plaid data and labelled as such.

We pull everything already on file

Trade data on file, the public record on file and a legal-name search, so you know which company you're dealing with.

References we already hold on the company go in first, before anyone has to ask. The legal-name search confirms the business is registered and gives you the correct legal name for invoices, and the legal section lists suits, judgments, liens, bankruptcies and collections on file, item by item.

A Credlab analyst calls and chases the references

Suppliers get a self-service link. The ones who don't reply get a phone call, and another. Your team doesn't have to chase.

Suppliers can reply through the link without an account or a PDF. Every reply and call note lands in the file, and if a reference still can't be reached, the report says so, because a supplier who won't vouch for a customer is information in itself.

Your analyst writes the Credlab Report

Your analyst writes the report and checks the data behind it, with AI among their tools. Back in about 48 hours, in plain English: a suggested limit, when to expect payment and a risk level.

The analyst uses a set of tools, AI among them, to assemble the file, draft the write-up and score the risk, and everything the tools produce goes through the analyst first, except the bank analysis, which is generated with AI from the Plaid data and labelled as such. The analyst signs the report.

You record the decision in one place

Your credit manager enters the approval status, the credit limit and any custom fields your team tracks, right in the credit file. One place of truth for every account.

Approving, declining or setting terms is your call, routed to the people on your team who are allowed to make it. Every change to the file is logged with who, what, when and why.

  8. 8

    Everyone hears about it

Send the approval or decline to the applicant from a mail template, and share the outcome with sales, accounts receivable and anyone else who needs it.

Outcome letters go out from your own templates and are tracked to delivery, and the application, report, references, notes and decision stay together in one file.
