For Canadian credit teams
Canadian-first. US-ready. Not an afterthought.
Most credit platforms treat Canada as a currency dropdown. Credlab was built in Toronto for Canadian credit teams, on a platform that handles US and international accounts just as well.

What Canadian-first means in practice
- Business-name search. Registered-name lookup built into intake.
- Canadian reports. Analyst-verified reports on Canadian companies.
- Legal and collections. Suits, liens, judgements and collections captured in the file.
- CAD and addresses. Canadian currency, address formats and bilingual forms.
- US and international. Reports on US and international companies too.
- Multi-branch. Per-location configuration across the group.
Reports on Canadian companies, by people who know them
A database lookup on a private Canadian company often returns a registration line and not much else. A Credlab Report is a fresh investigation: a full legal-name search against the federal and provincial registries, the public record on file, listed item by item, trade references chased by our analysts, and a plain-English write-up with a suggested limit, a payment window and a risk level. Quebec filings in French are part of the job.
Built for how Canadian distributors are organized
Branches in three provinces, a head office credit team, and terms that differ by region. Credlab gives each location its own form configuration and routing under one account, with shared roles, reporting and an audit trail. See the workspace.
Hosted in Canada
Your data lives in a Toronto datacenter, encrypted in transit and at rest, with daily backups. That matters for your own privacy obligations under PIPEDA and provincial law, and it's a question IT will ask; the answer is on the security page.
And US-ready
Selling into the United States doesn't need a second system. US customers apply through the same form, get reports on the same file, and are verified through the same Plaid connection, which covers US banks too. Reports on US and international companies are ordered the same way as Canadian ones.

Questions we get asked
Is Credlab a Canadian company?
Yes. B2B Credit Chex Inc. is based in Toronto and has worked in Canadian commercial credit since 2001. Credlab is our platform, and your data is hosted in Canada.
Can our customers apply in French?
Yes. The online credit application is available in English and French, and a customer can switch between them.
Do you report on companies outside Canada?
Yes. Canadian companies are our home ground, and we also produce analyst-verified reports on US and international companies when a file needs one.
Which Canadian records do you check?
Federal and provincial registrations for the legal-name search, and the public record for suits, liens, judgments, bankruptcies and collections, listed item by item in the report.
Does bank verification work with Canadian banks?
Yes. Plaid connects to most Canadian and US financial institutions; the applicant connects their business account with their consent, read-only.
